This simulator represents a left adult forearm with an arterioveinous fistula
The aim of this model is to learn how to puncture into the patient’s vein. The first step of the exercice is to localize the fistula, using the sensation of the “thrill”. This very specific vibration is accurately imitated by our electronic system.
The second step is obviously to find the good puncture site, based on the position of the fistula, and to put the needle into the cephalic vein.
The vein and the flesh covering it are consumable parts.
