The MISSTRAINER by Creaplast was developed in collaboration with Dr Michel Lefranc and Simusanté (Amiens)
This manikin is adapted for absolutely all types of posterior lumbar surgery, and more specifically minimally invasive surgery (arthrodesis, discectomy under endoscopy…). Like all other products from the “Spine Surgery Simulators” range, the MISSTrainer offers realistic sensations when cutting through the soft tissues or placing implants inside the bone structure. But this model goes closer to reality thanks to its multi-pathologic “T10/S+ iliac crest” spine including:
- A spondylolisthesis (grade II) at level L5/S
- An extra foraminal herniated disc at level L3/L4
- A foraminal herniated disc at level L4/L5
- Fractures of the vertebral body in L1 & T12
The spine is x-ray opaque, and endowed with nerves roots and ligaments (anterior and yellow).
It is especially a valuable asset if you wish to perform surgeries with robotic assistance (notably Rosa™ by Medtech)
